Pacoima Retirement Living Facility Evacuated After Fire Breaks Out
November 8, 2011 – According to reports by the elder abuse attorneys at Ehline Law Firm PC, a retirement living facility had to be evacuated after a fire broke out. According to authorities the Pledgerville Senior Citizens Villa is where a fire was reported at approximately 11:00 a.m. in Pacoima.
According to firefighters, the retirement living facility is located at 11060 Norris Avenue, where 50 firefighters responded. Firefighters stated that they were able to contain the blaze to one unite and took fire crews approximately 17 minutes to extinguish the fire.
According to authorities there were some residents that were treated at the scene for minor injuries and one person was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Authorities expect that residents of the retirement facility are expected to be able to return to their homes this afternoon.
